Clinical Component Course for the National Physiotherapy Exam

PCE Course is designed to prepare internationally trained students and recent graduates of the physiotherapy programs for the clinical component of the Physiotherapy Competency Exam.  The aim of the course is to teach students effective communication skills, bed side manners, safe handling and demonstrate the use of various treatment modalities into the management of different patient populations.

ADVANCED LUMBAR & THORACIC SPINE (LTS200)
Advanced Assessment and Treatment of Lumbar & Thoracic Spine


Duration: 2 Days

NIMPT provides a two day intermediate level lumbar and thoracic spine course which provides a detailed analysis of evaluation and treatment of neuromusculoskeletal spinal disorders.  The concepts and principles presented in this course will enhance both the practitioner’s knowledge base and manual therapy skills.  This course will help utilize clinical reasoning to formulate and demonstrate appropriate treatments for neuromusculoskeletal spinal disorders including soft tissue, articular and joint mobilizations and therapeutic exercise programs.  The course instruction is enhanced by extensive hands-on manual therapy techniques which will facilitate in concise assessments, diagnosis and implementation of accurate treatments.  Participants will be able to immediately apply the gained knowledge in the evaluation and treatment of neuromusculoskeletal spinal disorders.

ADVANCED CERVICAL SPINE (ACS200)
Advanced Assessment and Treatment of Cervical Spine

Duration: 2 Days

NIMPT provides a two day intermediate level cervical spine course which provides a detailed analysis of evaluation and treatment of upper and lower cervical spine disorders and cervicogenic headaches.  The concepts and principles presented in this course will enhance both the practitioner’s knowledge base and manual therapy skills.  This course will help utilize clinical reasoning to formulate and demonstrate appropriate treatments for neuromusculoskeletal spinal disorders including soft tissue, articular and joint mobilizations and therapeutic exercise programs.  Neurodynamic testing and neural tissue treatment for upper quadrant syndromes will also be addressed.  The course instruction is enhanced by extensive hands-on manual therapy techniques which will facilitate in concise assessments, diagnosis and implementation of accurate treatments.  Participants will be able to immediately apply the gained knowledge in the evaluation and treatment of neuromusculoskeletal spinal disorders.
